Preventive check-ups by the orthodontist are crucial for children, as detecting improper bite or tooth positioning at an early age allows for less traumatic and minimally invasive treatment. During the initial appointment, the orthodontist evaluates the child’s posture, facial features, mouth opening, shape, and size of dental arches, jaw relationships, tooth positioning, and the transition from baby teeth to permanent teeth based on the child’s age.
